The Hidden Domain: Home of the Quantum Wave Function, Nature's Creative Source, by Norman Friedman

Did you know that our everyday world arises form an invisible ocean of unlimited energy that surrounds and permeates us? That all events exist in potential form in this ocean, and certain ones are selected to be manifest in our reality? That this domain is the source not only of our universe but innumerable other universes as well?

In The Hidden Domain, the continuation of his very popular Bridging Science and Spirit, Norman Friedman explores this realm using non-mathematical concepts that are solidly grounded in science. Ideas from physicists, from religious and philosophical sources, and from Seth (the discarnate entity brought to us by Jane Roberts) illuminate this intriguing depiction of the world that underlies all experience.

SOME OF THE MANY ENDORSEMENTS of Norman Friedman's books:

“I think Bridging Science and Spirit is one of the most insightful, comprehensive, and brilliant expressions of knowledge. I shall certainly use it as a reference guide. Many abstract ideas that I was not comfortable with are now more meaningful.” – Deepak Chopra, M.D., author of Ageless Body, Timeless Mind; The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success; The Way of the Wizard

“Bridging Science and Spirit accomplishes a formidable task. This book will be a valuable research document for many years to come for those concerned with a perspective that honors both science and spirituality.” – Fred Alan Wolf, Ph.D.; author of Taking the Quantum Leap; Parallel Universes; The Physics of the Soul

“Bridging Science and Spirit correctly asks, 'How does matter originate from consciousness?' This is the fundamental question of a growing body of literature regarding the new paradigm of an idealist, consciousness-based science. Norman Friedman has made an important and thoughtful contribution to this new science.” – Amit Goswami, Ph.D., Professor of Physics, University of Oregon; author of The Self-Aware Universe

“An insightful synthesis of the outer frontiers of theoretical physics with the deep revelations of mystical insight, throwing important light on the reality we live in.” – Peter Russell, author of The Global Brain; The White Hole in Time; The Global Brain Awakens

“A masterful job of bringing innate psychic understanding and scientific knowledge together, brilliantly showing us how all is one and one is all.” – Robert F. Butts - Husband of Jane Roberts, Channel for Seth

“Few have understood both science and metaphysics well enough to remove our blinders to their underlying similarities – and universal truths. Kudos to Norman Friedman for proving to be a master bridge builder.” – Lynda Madden Dahl, Co-founder, Seth Network International; author of eight Seth-based books, including the Living a Safe Universe Series

“Some future historian will, I feel confident, identify the 'Great Debate' of the twentieth century around the question: 'What is science going to do about consciousness?' I would surmise that Norman Friedman's book Bridging Science and Spirit will turn out to be a benchmark in that inquiry. No one can read it without gaining some clarity on their own nature.” – Willis Harman, Ph.D., President, Institute of Noetic Sciences; author of Global Mind Change

“A brilliant synthesis of ageless wisdom and modern science. Friedman's writing provides pictures for our minds so we can 'see' reality…“ – Jacquelyn Small, MSSW, President, Eupsychia, Inc.; author of Awakening in Time; Transformers, the Artists of Self-Creation

“I responded to this book with both admiration and appreciation for the task Norman Friedman set out to do and accomplished so successfully. He has paved the way toward a deeper understanding of the role of consciousness in the creation and structure of matter.” – Montague Ullman, Ph.D., Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Emeritus, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, N.Y.

This Book is Good !

Norman Friedman has done a wonderful job of synthesizing the ideas of the whose who of Modern Physicists into an intriguing, easily understood presentation. It is quantum physics and its implications all without the math although the math is discussed. If you have ever struggled to understand the concepts of modern physics because the math got in the way (and you were saved by the class curve) then this book will finally tell you what you missed. If you haven't taken courses in the field, the book will clearly tell you the crazy implications. If you've read the writings of Jane Roberts you will be pleased to see that Seth's explainations of our world boundaries is pretty close to the current view. You can converse with great authority on modern physics after reading this book and actually sound intelligent. This is one great book. 5 Stars for Friedman

The Deep Spirit of Quantum Waves +++
By Kevin Kiersky
This work is my favorite reader-friendly general presentation on Quantum Physics [and its tie-ins]. Physicist Norman Friedman uses images, metaphors and analogies, well-based in Quantum Physics, to explain Quantum Physics -- especially via wave-dynamics -- but also with Relativity, Multiiuniverse and Heisenberg's Dual Level Universe integrated. So, "The Hidden Domain" is a great general explanation of Modern Theoretical Physics -- and very compatible with WSM [Wave Structure of Matter].

Other modern physics is touched-upon along the way. Even older Classical Physics is in good summary to prepare for Modern Physics. Relativity and Quantum Particles are in good summary. Some usage is made of math diagrams, algebra and numbers -- but not a lot -- just when it is critical for clear and sharp understanding. There is a great chapter on the critcal usage of complex numbers in physics. These math areas of the book are at least semi-isolated -- so the reader can deal with such math when ready [or not].

"The Hidden Domain" has an excellent [and convincing] Relativity and Quantum Multiuniverse cross-comparison. Time, Energy, Bell's Theorem and Phase-Entanglement are all explained well. In addition, the really odd stuff such as paradox, mystery and inner-experience is explored in detail in a wonderful way. Philosophy of Consciousness tied-in with Modern Physics is covered as well as or better than any other works on such topics. The final tie-in with Jane Roberts and "Seth" shows Norman Friedman has unusual boldness, integrity and Spirit +++

Not quite ready for the future

Norman Friedman deserves credit for the way in which he manages to explain the concepts of 20th century physics so well. Unfortunately, his interpretation of quantum physics is rather conservative. The result is that he attempts to prop all of reality into a framework that is just too narrow and limited. It is not the definitive book on the relationship between modern physics and spirituality, but it's a good start.
