really worth reading book

Very impressive book to read! For all those people who love reading mythological stories this is a must read book. The way the story goes and the history you read is unparalleled. The author gave an in-depth knowledge of Norse Mythology. The Myths present, the description of the each and everything is way too good. Indeed a long and worth full amount of research work is put into this beautiful book. Really worth reading!

Fun and Informative!! High Five!

I found this book to be an absolutely excellent addition to my library. The stories are vividly written and not overly laden with academic terminology, but academic notes are posted in the back of the book if you want them. It's a very complete collection as well, with many major myths from old Scandinavia gathered together in one convenient text. Highly recommended.

I wanted to see even more of them!

I wanted to see even more of them. And that ending! It killed me! I thought a little bit more could have been developed in the relationship front for the two of them. But all in all I liked the pace and I loved that it was believable. Too many times, I read a story where people fall victim to insta-love. Not here, and it was so refreshing.

Hideyuki Kikuchi's third book takes manga form through the skilled hands of artist Saiko Takaki. She takes the reader to the thirteenth millenia, where every human lives in fear of vampires. It is a land of sorcery, science and universal use of black eyeliner.

Not to give too much away to those new to VHD, this manga's story is about a human girl that falls in love with a Noble (a.k.a. vampire) anyway, D gets hired to kill Mr. Pointy Teeth and the story goes from there. Throw is some rival hunters... including someone to fill the 'hot-yet-troubled-chick' archetype that is present in all of Kikuchi's work. Be sure to see a number of mutant villains to spice everything up.

The borderline porno sexuality is greatly reduced in this volume. Also the stern character of D is accuratley portrayed. However, as is to be expected from the medium used to portray the story, no inner conflict is perceptable behind the icy exterior of D.

All in all i give it five stars because amazon will not allow 4.5. it misses a perfect 5 because all of the faces look very similar, including in relation to the past two volumes, to each other.

Since I am also a practicing acupuncturist and deal with Internal Medicine problems quite frequently, I wrote these based on the protocols that I use daily. Each of these protocols has been personally used by me one time or another in the clinic. Many of these are also the same protocols I used when I work daily in my private clinic. Since I am a visual person, and I like things in a simple manner, I have placed the pictures of the points indicated for the various ailments together, to make it as simple as possible for the practicing acupuncturist to use in his or her clinic. I dislike overly drawn out discussions on theory, but prefer that application be one’s guide. I also dislike secrecy, so I hold back no “alleged” secrets from anyone who wants to learn the real art. My goal is to help end suffering in the world and help English speaking acupuncturists improve their proficiency through the vehicle of Master Tung’s Acupuncture.

About the Author
Robert Chu, PhD, L.Ac., QME began studying the Chinese martial and healing arts since childhood. He practices in Pasadena, CA, specializing in the Master Tung and Optimal Acupuncture methods of painless Acupuncture where he effectively treats pain, women’s health and a wide variety of internal diseases. Dr. Chu lectures nationally and internationally on Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine as a dynamic and entertaining speaker, and is currently on staff teaching at Emperor’s College of TCM and Clinical Supervisor at the Disney Family Cancer Center.

All of the point prescriptions were pretty much the same

Didn't care for this book much at all. For the price I expected MUCH more. All of the point prescriptions were pretty much the same, and most of the book was total filler - the same drawings over and over again. I wrote out all the prescriptions on a single piece of paper, and that's all there is to it. I know for a fact that Tung acupuncture has many, many more options than presented here.

A MUST for your clinic!!

Dr. Chu's compilation clinical Master Tung point prescriptions is brilliant and extremely useful for every acupuncturist who wants effective and lasting results. This is a MUST in your clinical book library. The book is well organized, clear and elegant. I have been practicing Dr. Chu's style of acupuncture for 2 years and can attribute my burgeoning 6 figure acupuncture practice to his methods and his elegant blend of Master Tung with classical channel theory.

About the Author
Richard E. Jones has published more than 100 research papers in his field and has received the NIH Research Career Development Award for his research efforts in the study of reproductive biology and endocrinology. In 1990 he received the Student Organization for Alumni Relations Teaching Recognition Award for his teaching of an annual undergraduate course, Human Reproductive Biology, and a course on human anatomy. Dr. Jones obtained his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. He is now Professor Emeritus of Biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where his research interests include reproductive biology as well as reproductive endocrinology.

Kristin H. Lopez teaches human reproductive biology through the Department of Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado-Boulder. With a background in comparative reproduction and endocrinology, she is an editor of the fi ve-volume work Hormones and Reproduction of Vertebrates (Academic Press, 2011). Her ongoing work with Colorado Diversity Initiative promotes increased access to higher education of underrepresented students in STEM.

I have taught "conversational English" to a group of Latinos for the last year. Since the goal of the class has been to speak and understand English in everyday situations, "Ingles para Latinos, Level 1" met our needs very well. Since the text was in Spanish, with comical sketches included, the students could review at home. The tone of the book also encouraged confidence. Since we have nearly finished Level 1, we discussed several options for this coming year. The students unanimously chose Level 2 of "Ingles para Latinos" and requested that I order the version with CDs again as they found the CDs included in Level 1 extremely helpful. I also ordered another series for this second year with a greater grammar emphasis as I feel that the students are ready to progress into a deeper understanding of grammar and more writing, for which I found "Ingles para Latinos" lacking. However, for instilling confidence, encouraging speaking, and learning vocabulary, I can only hope that level 2 is as good as Level One.

Amazing suspense

Maybe I've just got a thing for rock stars, but there's something about Marvin that is totally enticing - and that whole rock star world. Loved all the plots twists in this, lots of action ... and romance!! The suspense is insane!! This is definitely one of my favorites.
